Gazprom Space Systems concluded new contracts on the international exhibition IBC 2013

IBC 2013 show was held in Amsterdam on 13-17 September. Traditionally Gazprom Space Systems participated in this largest European forum dedicated to telecommunication and TV business.

In its exposition Gazprom Space Systems demonstrated the possibilities of Yamal satellites orbital constellation, which capacity can be used to develop telecommunication and broadcasting projects in Russia as well as in Europe, Africa, Middle East and South-East Asia.

Several new contracts to use Yamal-402 satellite capacity were concluded. In particular at the exhibition the contract with Globecomm Europe, a well-known satellite telecommunication services provider, was signed. The company will provide services in Africa and Middle East (point-to-point links, VSAT services based on iDirect technology, etc.) based on the Yamal-402 capacity. The contract was signed by Dmitry Sevastiyanov, Gazprom Space Systems’ Director General, and Colin Badenhorst, Globecomm Europe’s General Manager.

The exhibition demonstrated a huge interest of the international community in Gazprom Space Systems’ satellite capacity and services.
