Gazprom Space Systems delegation starts working at the IBC 2011 show

Today in Amsterdam the largest in Europe annual telecommunication exhibition IBC 2011 has been opened. Gazprom Space Systems (GSS) is again among its exhibitors.

Today in Amsterdam the largest in Europe annual telecommunication exhibition IBC 2011 has been opened. Gazprom Space Systems (GSS) is again among its exhibitors.

This year the show opening coincided with the start of ASTRA 1F satellite capacity and services provision, which was moved to the 55E orbital position under the agreement between GSS and the global satellite operator SES; and also with the start of capacity and services sale of Yamal-402 satellite, which is under construction and will replace ASTRA 1F at this position in 2012.

ASTRA 1F satellite was relocated into the 55E orbital position on August 30, 2011. After carrying out the test of satellite’s transponders, which confirmed the full compliance of the transponders performance with the stated one, the satellite was accepted by Gazprom Space Systems for commercial operation.

The corresponding Certificate was signed on the date of the exhibition opening by Dmitriy Sevastiyanov, Director General of GSS, and Ferdinand Kayser, Chief Commercial Officer of SES.
