Gazprom Space Systems' participation in the event is explained by the fact that the company has been playing a more and more significant part in the international satellite telecommunications for the resent years. The company services are in demand among international service providers. Now the end users from more than 50 countries all over the world use the services based on Yamal satellites capacity, including for UNO purposes in the developing regions and "hot spots".

Upon 2008 economic results this authoritative organization announced Gazprom Space Systems as the best Corporative Teleport of the Year. Despite the world economic crises, the satellite telecommunications sector has been developing stably. Therefore Gazprom Space Systems feels a significant interest of the foreign users in its new satellites, which capacity is partially dedicated for using in the international market.
