Gazprom Space Systems and Telemedia (South Africa) develop cooperation on Yamal-402 55E Southern Beam.

The contract for the Kingdom of Lesotho TV government channel broadcast via Yamal-402 has been signed recently. This is one of the two national TV channels operating under the department of Broadcasting of the Ministry of Communications, Science and Technology.

The channel broadcasts in both state languages: Sesotho and English and shows all the main events in the country, news, sports, promotes local Basotho culture and traditional music.

The uplink to Yamal-402 55E satellite is done from Maseru, the capital of the country.

Just before Gazprom Space Systems and Telemedia implemented broadcasting a bouquet of government TV and radio channels of the Republic of Angola through Yamal-402.


Gazprom Space Systems is one of the two Russian national satellite operators and is part of a group of about fifty satellite operators existing in the world
