GSS summarizes participation in IBC Exhibition in Amsterdam

The biggest annual forum in Europe for television, digital technologies and multimedia equipment has just finished. More than 55 thousand people from 160 countries visited this exhibition.

Gazprom Space Systems took part in exhibition with a stand where Yamal satellites capabilities were represented. The company top management and employees had a series of meetings with international customers and prospective Yamal satellite capacity users and also met other satellite operators and discussed latest trends in satellite capacity market.

The result of exhibition was signing contracts both for new projects and upgrades for the current ones. Signalhorn (Germany) extended using the capacity of Yamal-402 satellite European Beam (orbital slot 55Е), which will be applied to implement connectivity for a big construction company in Middle East and for government structures in Europe.

Two more order forms for the upgrade of capacity use in Northern and European beams of Yamal-402 were signed with Globecomm Europe (Netherlands). This capacity will be used to support connectivity for fishing vessels in Northern Sea and also for a big oil company working in Iraq. Yamal-402 Southern Beam continues to be in demand. Telemedia (South Africa) signed order form for use its capacity for TV Occasional Use – sports events broadcast (horse racing) and political events reports. A contract with Castor Networks (Netherlands) was signed for extension of used capacity in Europe-Africa direction. The end users are oil&gas and mining companies.

Other Yamal satellites ae also of interest. Yamal-202 49E C-band satellites keeps its position in market, for which capacity new requests come mostly from the companies that already use it. And Yamal-300K 183E attracts more and more new customers. Communication service providers are especially interested in its Northern wide beam for aviation and maritime business.

The contracts concluded at Exhibition strengthen Gazprom Space Systems positions in international market.
